Overview

Every day, thousands of people in our fitness conscious culture do just what the TV commercials and their doctors tell them: “Play hard,” “Just do it.” They challenge their cardiovascular systems, participate in aerobics, work out with weights and machines, and compete at games they last played in their youth, ride bikes, and run races. Author Information

Marc Coseo made the transition from college tennis to the Grand Slam Tour but his hard-won career was ended by the driver of a Renault sedan in Portugal. Marc’s own rehab was so lengthly that he attended and graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture before fully recovering. Soon after graduation his clinic was full of professional and amateur athletes needing the skills his acupuncture education, years of dedicated training and his own rehabilitation provided. It soon because clear that athletics was a primary case of “an ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure,” so Marc developed the Acupressure Warmup so professional athletes and weekend warriors alike could pursue their sports better prepared, with better conditioning and a greatly reduced chance of injury.

    While this book never gained popularity beyond committed amateur and professional athletes, we’ve used it ourselves for many years for the strains and pains that go with gardening and an active lifestyle. Our sons (out youngest is in the last chapter pictures), took up the practice for their youth and college sports with great success. This is a great gift for the athletes in your life.
