Robert Felt and Martha Fielding grew Redwing Books from a bankrupt bookstore bought at an IRS auction in 1970.  By 1973 Redwing housed the largest collection of books on Health and Healing available at the time and began the importation of books on acupuncture and Chinese medicine from East Asia and Europe.  By 1980 we began the transition to online sales and offered our first Paradigm Publication, an early version of the Complete Course in Acupuncture by James Tin Yao So, the Father of American Acupuncture. After 30 years in Brookline Massachusetts Bob and Martha moved Redwing to Taos New Mexico rather than eliminate the slow-sellers (which are sometimes excellent books) from inventory because of the East Coast property cost. There our passive solar office / warehouse allows us to maintain our collection based on its value, not the cost of storage space. Both Bob and Martha are currently retired but continue to work with their son Kristopher toward another generation of service to the Complementary medicine community.
